ਸੁੱਚਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਲੰਗਾਹ ਦੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਦੀ ਉਸ ਸੱਚਾਈ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਦਿਵਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵਿਵਾਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਦੀ ਛਵੀ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਤਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ। ਘੋਟਾਲਿਆਂ, ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਨਤਕ ਬਦਨਾਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਬਹੁਤ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਲੰਗਾਹ ਦਾ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਅਧਿਆਇ ਮੁੱਕ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮਾਝੇ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਕੇਡਰ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਮਰਥਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਡਰ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਆਲੋਚਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਉਸੇ ਦਬੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਡਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੁਰਾਣੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਦਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਵਾਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਲੰਗਾਹ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਲਾਭਕਾਰੀ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੁਰਾਣੀ ਵਿਵਾਦਿਤ ਤਾਕਤ ਵਾਲੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਸਕਿਆ ?
