In Punjab, Congress leaders are celebrating the rural poll results as a morale boost, even though there was no clear sweep or decisive win. Loud claims of revival are masking mixed outcomes, regional weaknesses, and unresolved leadership questions. With Partap Singh Bajwa, Charanjit Singh Channi, and Amrinder Singh Raja Warring all projecting confidence in different tones, the real question is– Is Punjab Congress celebrating survival because it cannot yet admit decline, and is this self-congratulation delaying the hard choices on leadership, unity, and direction that the party can no longer afford to postpone ?
