Kulwant Singh started from a ward in 1995, rose to Senior Vice-President, then President of Mohali Municipal Council, and later became the first Mayor of Mohali in 2015. He contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Fatehgarh Sahib on an SAD-BJP ticket, and is known as one of the richest politicians in Punjab. In 2022, he won the SAS Nagar MLA seat on an AAP ticket, stepping firmly into state-level power. Now as 2027 approaches, Is Kulwant Singh building himself as Mohali’s long-term political anchor, or is he positioning for a bigger leap, maybe cabinet table, maybe even beyond?
