ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਣਨ ਦਾ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਹੁਣ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਨੇ। ਚਰਨਜੀਤ ਚੰਨੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਨੇ। ਰਾਜਾ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਨੇ। ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਨੇ, ਪਰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਦੋਂ ਜਦੋਂ “ਪੂਰੀ ਤਾਕਤ” ਮਿਲੇ ਤੇ ਸੁਨੀਲ ਜਾਖੜ ਤਾਂ ਕਈ ਸਾਲ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਛੱਡ ਗਏ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਖ਼ੁਆਹਿਸ਼ ਸੀ। ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਸੁੰਗੜ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਚਾਹਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਹੋਰ ਲੰਮੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਜੰਗ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਕੁਰਸੀ ਲਈ ਹੈ ?
