As Sukhbir Singh Badal shifts to Gidderbaha after his 2022 defeat in Jalalabad, his son Anantbir Singh Badal has started quietly moving through Lambi, meeting youngsters, touching elders’ feet, and reminding villagers of Parkash Singh Badal’s legacy. Many say he carries the same humility and mannerisms. With Sukhbir trying to reclaim lost ground and Anantbir slowly entering public life, one key question now stands out, if Anantbir joins politics before 2027, will SAD field him from Lambi, send him to Jalalabad to avenge the 2022 loss or launch him from a fresh constituency to build his own identity ?

Proposals - SUNLO

A) SAD may field Anantbir from Lambi, using the strong emotional bond voters still feel with the Badal family.

B) He could be sent to Jalalabad to help the party reclaim the seat Sukhbir lost in 2022.

C) SAD might introduce him from a new constituency to let him grow without pressure or comparisons.

D) With Sukhbir in Gidderbaha and Anantbir rising in Lambi/Jalalabad, SAD may try a father–son revival strategy to energise the cadre for 2027.

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਜਟ ਚਰਚਾ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਿੱਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਹਰਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੀਮਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਪੁਰਾਣੀ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਸਕੀਮ (OPS) ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਲਦਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ ਵਰਗੇ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਏ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਅਸਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਕਰੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਮਸਲੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਲਈ ਮੁੱਖ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਰਵੱਈਆ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜੇ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ OPS ਬਹਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਕੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਾਕਈ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਾਵਧਾਨੀ ਵਰਤ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਾਂ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਇੱਕ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਟਾਲਣ ਦਾ ਸੌਖਾ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਬਣਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ?
