Vijay Kumar Kalra fought the 2022 elections on the Congress ticket from Guru Har Sahai, but could gather only 5,578 votes (4%), while AAP surged past 68,000 and SAD held nearly 58,000. With Congress losing almost 42% of its vote share, the gap wasn’t small, it was massive. So the real question is: After such a result, does Vijay Kumar Kalra realistically have any space left before the 2027 election ?

A) This result was a clear public rejection, and 2027 could push him further to the margins.

B) Congress has become so weak here that even a strong candidate would fail and Kalra was just caught in the collapse.

C) Voters ignored both the candidate and the party, raising doubts about whether he should contest again in 2027 at all.

D) With numbers this low, the real question is not about winning in 2027, but about whether Congress can even stay relevant here.

ਇਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਅੰਦਰੂਨੀ ਬਗਾਵਤ ਨਾਲ ਜੂਝ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਧਾਰ ਵੱਧਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਗੁਆਇਆ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਆਧਾਰ ਮੁੜ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ (ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ), ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ (ਪੁਨਰ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ), ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ (ਵਾਰਿਸ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ), ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ (ਯੂਨਾਈਟਡ) ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਪੰਥਕ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਮੰਚ 'ਤੇ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਵੱਡਾ ਸਵਾਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਇਹ ਵੱਡਾ ਪੰਥਕ ਗੱਠਜੋੜ ਖਿੰਡੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੰਥਕ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਕੇ 2027 ਦੀਆਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ 'ਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਪਲਟਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਗੱਠਜੋੜ' ਬਣ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ? ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਦੀ ਦੌੜ, ਸੀਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੰਡ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਰੰਜਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਫਿਰ ਪੰਥਕ ਏਕਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਕ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਹੀ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਣਗੀਆਂ ?
