For a sitting MLA just one term ago, the fall was steep. Was Talwar rejected by voters or did Congress fail to defend its own former MLA with organisation and direction ? ਸੁਖਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਕਾਕਾ ਲੋਹਗੜ੍ਹ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਧਰਮਕੋਟ ਤੋਂ 35,406 ਵੋਟਾਂ (24.9%) ਨਾਲ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੰਬਰ ‘ਤੇ ਰਹੇ। ’ਆਪ’ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਉਹ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਰਹੇ, ਜਦਕਿ ਅਕਾਲੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਅੱਗੇ। ਅੰਕੜੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਦਿਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਰਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ। ਸਵਾਲ ਸਾਫ਼ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਕਾਕਾ ਲੋਹਗੜ੍ਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੀ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਲਹਿਰ ਨੇ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਜਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਦਾਨੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਦਲ ਸਕੇ ? ਅਤੇ 2027 ਨੇੜੇ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਕੀ ਇਹ ਵੋਟ ਅਧਾਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਬਦਲਦੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੱਦ ਹੈ ?
