Despite having multiple senior leaders and long-time stalwarts, the party seems stuck on one issue while avoiding tougher questions on governance, law and order, drugs, youth unemployment and farm distress. ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਜਨਤਕ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਤਰਫਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਦਾ ਕਿੱਸਾ ਸੁਣਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੀ ਵਿਧਾਇਕਾ ਗਨੀਵ ਕੌਰ ਮਜੀਠੀਆ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਅਲੋਚਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨਕ ਅਹੁਦੇ ’ਤੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦੀਆਂ। ਅਲੋਚਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ ਇੱਕ “ਰੰਗੀਨਮਿਜ਼ਾਜ ਕਹਾਣੀ” ਵਾਂਗ ਲੱਗਿਆ, ਨਾ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੇ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਵਾਂਗ, ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਹ ਟਿੱਪਣੀਆਂ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਦਰਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਜੂਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣ।
