Now, with constituency in-charge Manjit Singh Madnipur enjoying solid rural backing and the party drawing confidence from recent momentum elsewhere, the dilemma is sharper. Will SAD finally back its own organisational face in 2027 or risk repeating the experiment of importing a candidate who may not stay the course ? ਕਦੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਰਹੇ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਆਖ਼ਰੀ ਪੜਾਅ ’ਚ ਸਿਰਫ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਦਲੀ, ਸਗੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਰੁਖ ਵੀ ਬਦਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਪਰਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਧੀ ਜੈ ਇੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਵੀ ਹੁਣ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਖਾਸ ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ; ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਰਾਹ ਵੱਖ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪਰ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਕਹਿ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਲਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਨੇਤਾ ਕਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਸਿਆਸਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਕੀ ਉਹ ਅੱਜ ਨਵੀਂ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਲੱਭਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ? ਕੀ ਇਹ ਕਦਮ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਸਫਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ?
