BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh has questioned the AAP-led Punjab Government ahead of the new state Budget, alleging that several announcements made in last year’s Budget, including the drug census, indoor gyms, eco-tourism projects and village streetlights, have not seen visible progress on the ground. He has also raised questions about the delay in fulfilling the promised ₹1,000 monthly assistance for women.

ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਤਰੁਣ ਚੁੱਘ ਨੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਰਾਜ ਬਜਟ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ 'ਆਪ' ਸਰਕਾਰ ’ਤੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਬਜਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਕਈ ਵੱਡੇ ਐਲਾਨ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਡਰੱਗ ਜਨਗਣਨਾ, ਇੰਡੋਰ ਜਿਮ, ਇਕੋ-ਟੂਰਿਜ਼ਮ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਅਤੇ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਟ੍ਰੀਟ ਲਾਈਟਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ, ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ’ਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਵੱਧਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਖ ਰਹੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਮਹੀਨੇ ₹1,000 ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਦੇਰੀ ’ਤੇ ਵੀ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ।
