ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਚਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੰਨੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫਿਰ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮ੍ਰਿਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਦਾ ਉਠਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ (ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਏ.) ਅਧੀਨ ਕੈਦ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਦੀ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਹੋਰ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਮਰਥਕ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਲਕੇ ਦੀ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਫੰਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਹੱਕ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉੱਥੇ ਆਲੋਚਕ ਪੁੱਛਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਸੰਸਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਾਨੂੰਨਾਂ ਅਧੀਨ ਲਏ ਗਏ ਫੈਸਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। 2027 ਦੀਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਵੱਧਦੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਅਹਿਮੀਅਤ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ, ਕੀ ਚੰਨੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਮ੍ਰਿਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਬਚਾਅ ਕਰਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਨਿਧਤਾ, ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਦੀ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜੇ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ?
