Critics argue that constant dependence on alliances weakened Congress over the years, while supporters believe rebuilding independently may take time but could revive the party long term. ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੀ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਖੇਤਰੀ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਸਦੇ ਫੈਲਾਅ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਚਰਚਾ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਧਿਰ, ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ, ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਸੱਤਾਧਾਰੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਰਣਨੀਤੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ। ਆਲੋਚਕ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਗਠਜੋੜਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋਈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਸਮਰਥਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਖੁਦ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਾਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਲੱਗੇਗਾ, ਪਰ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਈ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਤਰੀ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਹੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੈਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਧਿਰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਹਰ ਚੋਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਅਸਤਿਤਵ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਲੜ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ?
