Jai Inder Kaur entered BJP carrying one of Punjab’s biggest political surnames, but many people still wonder whether her politics has real ground fire or mainly family-name cushioning. ਜੈ ਇੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਉਪਨਾਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇਕ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਈ, ਪਰ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਕਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਗਰਮੀ ਘੱਟ ਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਵੱਧ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਵੱਡੇ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਭਰੀ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੈ ਇੰਦਰ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੀ ਜਨਅਧਾਰ ਵਾਲੀ ਨੇਤਾ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ.ਆਈ.ਪੀ. ਸਿਆਸੀ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਮਰਥਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਤੁਲਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਆਲੋਚਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਸਿਰਫ ਨਰਮ ਛਵੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੱਲਦੀ। ਕੀ ਜੈ ਇੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਬਣਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਿਰਫ ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਰਾਸਤੀ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੀਂ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗਿਕ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਦੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ?
