As Punjab celebrates its education rankings, a familiar political argument has returned. Congress leaders claim the foundations were laid before 2022, while AAP is presenting the achievement as proof of its governance model. The debate has also revived old accusations from Delhi, where Arvind Kejriwal's critics argued that AAP took credit for education reforms and infrastructure developed during the tenure of Sheila Dikshit. ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦਰਜਾਬੰਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਪੁਰਾਣੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਬਹਿਸ ਮੁੜ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਹ 2022 ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਰੱਖੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ‘ਆਪ’ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਮਾਡਲ ਦੀ ਸਫ਼ਲਤਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਬਹਿਸ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਉਹ ਪੁਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਆਲੋਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਵੀ ਮੁੜ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਕੇਜਰੀਵਾਲ ਅਤੇ 'ਆਪ' 'ਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲੱਗੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੀਲਾ ਦੀਕਸ਼ਿਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹੋਏ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਸੁਧਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਦਾ ਸਿਹਰਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਲਿਆ। ਹੁਣ ਜਦੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਛਿੜ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਇਕ ਸਵਾਲ ਵਾਰ-ਵਾਰ ਉੱਠ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵਰਗੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਅਸਲ ਸ਼ਾਬਾਸ਼ੀ ਕਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ, ਨੀਂਹ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਫੀਤਾ ਕੱਟਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ?
