Satish Poonia is leading the BJP’s organisational strategy in Punjab, while Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini has already been campaigning in the state. The BJP is looking to use its Haryana experience, grassroots organisation and booth-level strategy as it prepares for 2027. But Punjab has a very different political culture, rural mood and regional identity. Can the Poonia–Saini combination help the BJP repeat Haryana’s success in Punjab, or will Punjab demand a strategy of its own ?

ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨੇ 2027 ਦੀਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਨਾ ਐਲਾਨਣ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਮਕਸਦ ਹੈ ਧੜੇਬੰਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੋਣ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਣਾ। ਪਰ ਰਾਜਾ ਵੜਿੰਗ, ਚਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੰਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪਕੜ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ “ਸਾਂਝੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ” ਦੀ ਰਣਨੀਤੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਕਜੁੱਟ ਕਰ ਸਕੇਗੀ ਜਾਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਚੋਣ ਨਤੀਜਿਆਂ ਤੱਕ ਟਾਲ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ ? ਕੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਏਕਤਾ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸ ਰਹੀ ਜਾਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਤੈਅ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੌਣ ਕਰੇ ?
