Arvind Kejriwal has alleged that 80% of Punjab’s drug supply now comes from BJP-ruled states, while the BJP-led Centre has set a target of making India drug-free by 2029. At the same time, the Punjab government has faced questions over its own handling of the crisis. But if the BJP argues that Punjab must take responsibility for drugs reaching its streets, shouldn’t the BJP also have a clear answer on drugs allegedly moving through inter-state routes, the international border and major ports under the Centre’s watch ?

ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਕੇਜਰੀਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ 80% ਡਰੱਗ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਹੁਣ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਸ਼ਾਸਿਤ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ 2029 ਤੱਕ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਾ-ਮੁਕਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਥੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਡਰੱਗ ਸੰਕਟ ਨਾਲ ਨਜਿੱਠਣ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਜੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਰਹੀ ਡਰੱਗ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਸੂਬਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ’ਤੇ ਪਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਜਵਾਬ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਕਿ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਜੀ ਰਸਤਿਆਂ, ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਬੰਦਰਗਾਹਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਡਰੱਗ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ?
