The BJP is now making the drug crisis and Punjab’s future major parts of its 2027 campaign. But its relationship with Punjab’s farmers was deeply strained after the farm laws triggered a prolonged farmers’ movement, and the Shiromani Akali Dal broke its alliance with the BJP over the issue in 2020. Bhagwant Mann is now using the deaths of farmers during that period to question how the BJP can seek votes in Punjab. After the farm laws and the farmers’ movement, can the BJP really win back Punjab’s farmers or is that political wound still too deep to forget before 2027 ?

A) BJP needs to rebuild trust with farmers before asking for their support.

B) Farmers may judge BJP on its present policies rather than only the farm-law episode.

C) BJP needs to address farmers’ concerns directly instead of relying mainly on election campaigns.

D) The 2027 election could test whether the BJP–farmer conflict of 2020 still shapes Punjab’s politics.

ਭਾਜਪਾ ਹੁਣ 2027 ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਚੋਣ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਕਟ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੇ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਉਠਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਖੇਤੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਦੇ ਸਬੰਧ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਣਾਅਪੂਰਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਇਸੇ ਮੁੱਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਨੇ 2020 ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਗਠਜੋੜ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਉਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਮੌਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਉਠਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਮੰਗ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਖੇਤੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕੀ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਮੁੜ ਜਿੱਤ ਸਕੇਗੀ ਜਾਂ 2027 ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ 2020 ਦਾ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਹੈ ?
