BJP Punjab in-charge Satish Poonia has said the party will contest all 117 Assembly seats and cross the majority mark through organisation, strategy and campaign management. The party is also expanding booth-level work and taking its anti-drug campaign across all 117 constituencies. But BJP won only two Assembly seats in 2022, while its 2024 Lok Sabha vote share rose to 18.56% without winning a Punjab seat. So, is BJP’s “Punjab miracle” built on a real ground game or is the party counting its chickens before they hatch ?

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਸਤੀਸ਼ ਪੂਨੀਆ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ 117 ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਸੀਟਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਚੋਣ ਲੜੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਗਠਨ, ਰਣਨੀਤੀ ਤੇ ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਦੇ ਦਮ ’ਤੇ ਬਹੁਮਤ ਦਾ ਅੰਕੜਾ ਪਾਰ ਕਰੇਗੀ। ਪਾਰਟੀ ਬੂਥ ਪੱਧਰ ’ਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੰਗਠਨ ਵੀ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ 117 ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਸੀਟਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਦੋ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਸੀਟਾਂ ਜਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ 2024 ਦੀਆਂ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਦਾ ਵੋਟ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਵੱਧ ਕੇ 18.56% ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਵੀ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਸੀਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿੱਤੀ। ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦਾ “ਪੰਜਾਬ ਚਮਤਕਾਰ” ਅਸਲ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ’ਤੇ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਾ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਮਨਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ?
