Punjab has seen several prominent leaders move across political camps. Jagmeet Singh Brar, Sunil Kumar Jakhar, Captain Amarinder Singh and Ravneet Singh Bittu have each taken different political paths involving party switches. Captain Amarinder Singh has now said that after four years in the BJP, he had “gained nothing” and had not been consulted on Punjab-related matters. He has also said he does not plan to return to Congress. So, when leaders repeatedly change political homes, does it expand their political options or make voters question the journey they left behind ?

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਈ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਆਗੂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਧੜਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਰੁਖ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਜਗਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਰਾੜ, ਸੁਨੀਲ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜਾਖੜ, ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਰਵਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਯਾਤਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਬਦਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਹੁਣ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਰ ਸਾਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ “ਕੁਝ ਹਾਸਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ” ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਲਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ, ਜਦੋਂ ਆਗੂ ਵਾਰ-ਵਾਰ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਘਰ ਬਦਲਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਵਿਕਲਪ ਵੱਧਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਿਛਲੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ’ਤੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ?
