But when a former ED officer joined citing issues like drugs, corruption and gangsters, only to leave within four days over what he called “non-negotiable” differences and the need for constitutional conduct, does this expose a deeper problem: can the outfit build a broad political platform when its own political position remains unclear ?

‘ਵਾਰਿਸ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ’ ਪੰਥਕ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ’ਤੇ ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਇਕ ਲਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਵੱਧ ਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਬਣਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਕ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਈ.ਡੀ. ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ, ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਚਾਰ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ “ਗੈਰ-ਸਮਝੌਤਾਵਾਦੀ” ਮਤਭੇਦਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨਕ ਆਚਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਦਾ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਵੱਖ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਇਹ ਇਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਵੱਲ ਇਸ਼ਾਰਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ: ਜਦੋਂ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਹੀ ਸਪਸ਼ਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਇਹ ਇਕ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਮੰਚ ਬਣਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ?
