2014 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਨਾਲ ਸਰਹੱਦੀ ਸੂਬੇ ਲਈ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਜੰਗ ਦਾ ਖਤਰਾ ਵੱਧ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ–ਭਾਜਪਾ ਗੱਠਜੋੜ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਆਲੋਚਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਿਆਈ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ, ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਵਪਾਰ ਵਰਗੇ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ’ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ’ਤੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਸਨ। ਪਰ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਨਾਲ ਮੁੜ ਗੱਠਜੋੜ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਨੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੁਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਚਿੰਤਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਰੁਖ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਮੇਲ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਬੈਠਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕੀ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਬਚਾਅ ਕਰਨ ਤੱਕ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਬਦੀਲੀ ਦਿਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਇਹ ਬਦਲਦੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਗੱਠਜੋੜਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੋੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ?
