The Aam Aadmi Party Government is celebrating 100 canteens run by women’s self-help groups as a major achievement. Providing kitchen equipment and waiving bills and rent are being presented as big Government milestones. But is announcing 100 canteens now enough to claim success, while the real test of jobs, income and lasting benefits remains ? Has the Government run short of bigger achievements or is political publicity taking priority over actual performance ?

ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਵੈ-ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਚਲਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ 100 ਕੰਟੀਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਰਸੋਈ ਦਾ ਸਾਮਾਨ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਿੱਲਾਂ ਤੇ ਕਿਰਾਏ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟ ਦੇਣਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਕੀ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 100 ਕੰਟੀਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਦਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਅਸਲ ਪਰਖ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ, ਆਮਦਨ ਅਤੇ ਲੰਮੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਲਾਭਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੋਣੀ ਹੈ ? ਕੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਕੋਲ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਅਸਲ ਕਾਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰੀ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਧ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ?
