Tarsem Singh DC was once Congress’s winning face in Attari, defeating senior Akali leader Gulzar Singh Ranike in 2017. But in 2022, the party denied him a ticket, chose Tarsem Singh Sialka instead, and then expelled DC for alleged anti-party activity. Since Sialka has joined the Aam Aadmi Party, Congress lost the seat, and Attari has slipped further out of its grip.

A) Congress may return to Tarsem Singh DC, admitting that denying him the 2022 ticket was a strategic mistake.
