Just months after leading the Shiromani Akali Dal's strongest challenge in Qadian and emerging as one of the party's biggest hopes against Congress, Guriqbal Singh Mahal has crossed over to the Aam Aadmi Party. His switch has not only changed the political equations in Qadian but also raised uncomfortable questions for the Akali Dal.
