In 2017, Parminder Singh Dhindsa rode to victory in Lehra as a key SAD face, confident, connected, and carrying the legacy of the Dhindsa name. In 2022, he switched sides to the rebel SAD(S) faction, distancing himself from Sukhbir Badal. But the gamble didn’t pay off; he lost badly, finishing a distant second to AAP’s Barinder Kumar Goyal.
