ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਾਵਾਂ-ਧੀਆਂ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਤਹਿਤ ਯੋਗ ਮਹਿਲਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਮਹੀਨੇ ₹1,000 ਅਤੇ ਅਨੁਸੂਚਿਤ ਜਾਤੀ ਵਰਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਯੋਗ ਮਹਿਲਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ₹1,500 ਸਿੱਧੇ ਬੈਂਕ ਖਾਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ (DBT) ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਇਸਨੂੰ "ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਦਿਨ" ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਡਾ ਚੋਣ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਸਸ਼ਕਤੀਕਰਨ ਵੱਲ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਇਹ ਵਾਅਦਾ 2022 ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਰ ਸਾਲ ਚਾਰ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਲੱਗ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ 2027 ਦੀਆਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵੀ ਨੇੜੇ ਹਨ। ਜੇ ਇਹ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਹਿਲਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਬਦਲਣ ਲਈ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਆਖ਼ਰੀ ਸਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਿਆ ? ਕੀ ਇਸ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਦੀ ਸਿਆਸਤ 'ਤੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ?
